FAQ THE BUILDING
General
Which spaces are included when I make a booking?
With a standard booking, the main space(s) are included. The Space is the central retreat or training area, The Lobby serves as the lounge, and basic facilities such as restrooms, a cloakroom, and a coffee/tea station are included. Depending on your needs, we will make clear agreements about the use of the various spaces.
Which spaces need to be booked separately?
Break-out rooms, additional session rooms, guest rooms, and the spa can be booked separately. We are happy to advise you on what best suits your program.
Can I only book a complete program, or is it also possible to rent just the space?
Both options are possible. You can book a fully facilitated program with us, or rent the space only and organize the content yourself.
Is overnight accommodation possible?
Yes, overnight stays are possible as part of a multi-day retreat or program. We have six rooms, each with a private bathroom and toilet. Each room has a 160 cm double bed and a single loft bed.
Can I book the venue for a single day?
Yes, day bookings are possible for trainings, workshops, or meetings.
Which spaces are suitable for presentations?
The main space and several other rooms are suitable for presentations and lectures.
How many people can the venue accommodate?
The location is suitable for groups of up to 18 people. Capacity varies per room. We are happy to advise you based on your group size and program.
Is the venue accessible for people with reduced mobility / wheelchair users?
The venue is wheelchair accessible and largely on one level. An elevator is available. There is no dedicated accessible toilet.
What time slots and opening hours do you use?
We work with flexible time slots and schedules, tailored to the type of gathering (business, workshop, retreat, or private).
Can I book the location for a private event?
Yes, the venue is also suitable for private events such as ceremonies, family gatherings, or closed meetings.
What types of gatherings is the venue suitable for?
The venue is suitable for retreats, trainings, courses, workshops, ceremonies, team days, strategic sessions, consciousness-oriented gatherings, and family events.
What is the maximum capacity per room?
Capacity varies per room. We are happy to provide a customized overview.
What do you do in terms of sustainability?
We work as much as possible with sustainable materials, conscious catering choices, and energy-efficient solutions. Sustainability is an integral part of our vision.
Are you insured?
Yes, the venue is insured for both business and private events.
Are there break-out rooms?
Yes, there are several spaces suitable for break-out sessions or subgroups.
What are the rates for The Building?
Rates depend on the type of booking, duration, group size, and additional options. Please contact us for a tailor-made quote or submit a request via our online booking system.
What facilities do you offer for trainers and facilitators?
Support is available for setup, technical needs, materials, and program coordination. Trainers can count on a calm and professional environment.
Can I set up earlier or stay longer?
Earlier setup or extended use is possible in consultation, depending on availability.
Is The Building suitable for trainings and courses?
Yes, the venue is very suitable for trainings, courses, and learning programs.
Can I organize a multi-day retreat?
Yes, multi-day retreats are very welcome.
Can I book a fully catered weekend?
Yes, we offer fully catered weekend programs. Please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
Can I host a party?
The venue is not suitable for hosting parties.
Which groups are welcome?
Groups that align with values of calm, depth, development, and connection are welcome.
Can we rent the location exclusively?
Yes, the location is always rented exclusively. Your group will be the only group in The Building.
Facilities
Which technical equipment is included with a booking?
Standard facilities include reliable Wi-Fi, a basic sound system, a mobile 75-inch touchscreen, one flip chart, one whiteboard, and basic lighting. Specialized equipment (such as microphones, recording equipment, or additional audiovisual support) can be added upon request.
Which materials are standardly available?
Standard materials include yoga mats, meditation cushions, and yoga props. For a business setting, chairs, tables, a flip chart, whiteboard, technical equipment, and basic presentation materials are available.
Are the spaces heated?
All rooms are heated and cooled via an underfloor heating system.
Catering
What catering options are available?
We offer various catering options, ranging from light snacks and lunch to extensive dinners prepared on-site by a private chef. The focus is on fresh, nourishing meals prepared with care.
Can I bring my own catering?
Bringing your own catering is possible in consultation. Practical arrangements and any conditions will be discussed together.
Is it possible to stay for dinner or drinks?
Yes, drinks and dinners can be part of your booking, including in the evening.
Do you only offer vegetarian catering?
Catering is vegetarian and can be expanded with other options upon request.
How are evening drinks handled?
Drinks are also available in the evening and will be aligned with your program.
Can you accommodate allergies and dietary requirements?
Yes, provided that dietary requirements and allergies are communicated at least 14 days prior to the event, we will take them into careful consideration.
Logistics
Where can I park?
There are six parking spaces available in our parking garage, two of which have electric charging facilities. If additional parking is required, we will inform you in advance about available options and any parking instructions.
Can I charge my electric car?
Yes, there is limited capacity to charge electric cars. Please let us know in advance.
Is The Building accessible by public transport?
Yes, the venue is accessible by public transport, possibly combined with a short walk or taxi ride. We will share clear travel information in advance.
Activities / Relaxation
Do you also offer guidance or activities?
Yes, we can provide facilitators, guidance, and activities, or think along with you in composing the program.
How does The Spa work?
The Spa is a place for relaxation and recovery and can be used privately or in scheduled blocks. Depending on your booking, we will align how and when the spa is used, for example as part of a retreat program or as an additional moment of rest.
Is swimwear allowed in the spa?
Swimwear is not allowed in The Spa unless otherwise agreed in advance as part of a closed or specific retreat program.
Is it possible to light a bonfire?
In consultation and depending on the season, an outdoor fire in one of our fire bowls is possible.
Can we go outside with the group?
Yes, there are outdoor spaces that can be used for sessions, breaks, or activities, depending on the weather and program. The back of the building borders the Nimmerdor forest.
Can The Building help with creating the program?
Yes, we have a large network and are happy to think along in designing the structure and flow of your program.
Can parts of the program take place outdoors?
Yes, outdoor activities and sessions are possible.
Can we add team activities or bring our own?
Yes, it is also possible to bring in your own activities.
Other
Is there always a point of contact present?
Yes, during your booking there will always be a contact person from The Building available.
Is there sufficient daylight?
Yes, most spaces have ample natural daylight.
Is it possible to decorate or personalize the space?
Yes, you may decorate the space. Placing a sign or marker outside is usually possible and always subject to consultation.
Can I pay by credit card?
Payment is made by invoice. Credit card payments are not possible.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at The Building. Assistance dogs are, of course, welcome.
Is music allowed?
As The Building is located near a forest and a residential area, playing loud music or hosting parties is not permitted.
Are children welcome?
Depending on the booking and the content of the program, children may be welcome.
What are the cancellation terms?
The following cancellation fees apply:
- Between 60 and 30 days prior to the event date:
→ 50% of the total agreed amount will be charged. - Between 30 and 14 days prior to the event date:
→ 75% of the total agreed amount will be charged. - Less than 14 days prior to the event date or in case of no-show:
→ 100% of the total agreed amount will be charged.
What payment terms apply?
100% of the invoice will be issued after completion of the event.
